Choral Singing

Eloise began her choral singing journey with the Halle Youth Choir aged 14. Since then, she has recorded several choral CDs and appeared live on BBC and ITV radio and television as a soprano chorister and soloist.

At the University of Cambridge, Eloise sang as a choral exhibitioner with Sidney Sussex chapel choir, with whom she toured Italy, Germany, Spain and America. They sang services three times a week, with a Latin Vespers service every Wednesday. One such service was broadcast live in its entirety by BBC Radio 3, and their recording of a CD centred on works by composer Thomas Weelkes was named Gramaphone's CD of the week on release.

Eloise has also toured the UK and France, and appeared in chamber choirs as part of television programmes (a BBC documentary on Elgar, and the Paul O'Grady show Christmas Special) and live broadcasts. She also sang as a top soprano in a 12-part jazz a cappella choir.

Musical Direction and Composition
Whilst at Cambridge, Eloise set up, co-managed, musically directed, and composed and arranged for a 12-singer a cappella jazz group, called The Scatpack, who performed at college events and at the ADC theatre. She was also the MD for a madrigal group, and now leads a jazz quintet.

As part of her degree, Eloise composed several short pieces for small ensembles, and has since composed short pieces for theatre and concerts. She is happy to arrange, harmonise or compose for theatre pieces, choirs or small ensembles (up to septets). You can send her details of any requests via the GET IN TOUCH messaging facility.
